On Friday, June 12th, Walsh Jesuit baseball and North Canton Hoover played an incredible State Semifinal game at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium. Shawn Sullivan and Caleb Mecurio both pitched for the Warriors and combined for a no-hitter. Colin Locigno stepped up and hit a two-run inside-the-park home run in the top of the 10th inning to give WJ a 4-2 win to punch their ticket to the state championship game!

The next day, WJ faced New Albany for the state title at 7 17 Credit Union Park in Akron. The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but New Albany responded later with a big inning to win 4-1.

The Warriors finished the season with 16 wins, which included five postseason victories. They took home the District Championship and the Regional Championship trophy!
