The 2026 MLB Draft took place last Saturday through Sunday and two Walsh Jesuit baseball alumni were selected! Ryan Piech, a pitcher who graduated from WJ in 2023 and attended Xavier University, was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 7th Round. Mason Eckelman, a catcher who graduated from Walsh Jesuit in 2022 and went on to attend Ohio State, was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 8th Round.

After the draft, on July 13, the Mariners announced that they have signed Henry Kaczmar. The 2022 WJ graduate played at both Ohio State and South Carolina.

The Warriors' baseball program has had over 10 players who have played professionally in the minor leagues or major leagues. Currently, Dominic Canzone is an outfielder for the Mariners and Ryan Feltner pitches for the Colorado Rockies.
