Fall Camps

Walsh Jesuit Strength and Conditioning Camp

Strength Camp

Walsh Jesuit is excited to offer our third annual Fall Strength and Conditioning Camp for boys and girls grades 5-8 during the fall of 2025. The camp will consist of eight training sessions over four weeks and will be designed to teach campers how to safely and effectively lift weights for a variety
of training goals while also providing an effective 4-week phase of strength training.

No training experience is required and athletes of all sports, activities, and fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join us. Early on, we will spend a great deal of time explaining exercise techniques and training strategies that will benefit both experienced and inexperienced lifters. Our dual goals are to provide critical instruction as well as implement an effective phase of training for our campers.

All sessions will be led by Matt Redmond, Walsh Jesuit’s Director of Strength and Conditioning, alongside assistant coaches and player-assistants in WJ’s state of the art training facility. Campers should enter the building through DOOR 19, wear training-appropriate clothing and shoes, and bring a water bottle. A second (8-week) training program will be issued to campers at the conclusion of camp to assist them as they continue their training on their own.

A second strength camp will be held in the spring of 2026 with dates to be determined. The second camp will utilize a similar structure, but it will cover separate exercises and concepts.
